Welcome to Room 4's new website. We made this site as a class project. Mr Wehi helped us learn how to use HTML .We all helped to design the pages in groups. We had fun doing it and we hope you have fun looking at it.
Welcome to Room 4. Our teacher is Mr Hayes and we have a student teacher called Mr Wehi. We have 29 pupils, 9 girls and 20 boys. We are between 10 and 11 years old. On Mondays we write our spelling lists, Tuesdays we have Art, Wednesdays we have Religious Instruction, Thursdays we have Two Ball Soccer and on Fridays we have Sport from 2:00pm to 3:00pm. Redcliffs School was opened in 1907 with only 50 pupils. In 1999 we have 345 pupils. We have a library, swimming pool and a hall, and there are thirteen classrooms altogether.
We live in New Zealand. The tallest building in New Zealand is called the Skytower in Auckland. It stands at about 300 meters high. Wellington is the capital of New Zealand. New Zealand is made up of 3 main islands North, South and Stewart Island. Christchurch has very pure water, that's one reason why we like to live here. The population of New Zealand is 3.7 million people. Most of them live in Auckland. The biggest lake is Lake Taupo. Maori people came to New Zealand about one thousand years ago from Hawaiki.
